Home » Spring energy: how to make the most of this season in your meetings

With spring, more changes than just the weather. The days become longer and brighter, and people naturally seem to have more energy. While winter is often focused on wrapping things up and analysing, spring invites movement and renewal. That’s exactly why this season is ideal for planning your meetings and business gatherings.

Because how often do meetings follow the same pattern? The agenda is covered, action points are noted, and everyone continues with their day. Efficient, perhaps, but rarely inspiring. Spring offers a natural moment to approach things differently.

A natural moment for a reset

Spring feels like a new beginning. Even halfway through the year, many people experience this season as a mental reset. That makes it a powerful moment not only to look ahead, but also to consciously reflect on where you and your team currently stand. What have the first months of the year brought? What is working well? And where is adjustment needed?

It creates space for both reflection and ambition. The season supports this process. People tend to be more open to change and new ideas than during the darker winter months.

Reimagining the way you come together

Just as nature renews itself, the structure of your meetings can benefit from a fresh perspective. Many teams meet according to fixed patterns that once made sense, but have since become routine. Spring is a fitting moment to reassess those habits.

This can mean creating more space for open conversation instead of only updates, or actively involving participants in shaping solutions rather than simply presenting decisions. When people feel they have influence over the outcome of a session, their engagement naturally increases.

Looking ahead with renewed energy

Many annual plans are set in January with ambition and focus. By the time spring arrives, that initial energy can have faded due to the demands of daily operations. This season offers a natural opportunity to recharge those goals. Do they still align with reality? Where is momentum building? What needs extra attention?

By consciously reflecting on these questions, plans are less likely to fade into the background. Instead, they become an active part of the conversation again, supported by fresh motivation and renewed focus.
